With us, electricity has so far always been around 24ct/kwh. Heating is oil, so yes, basically prepaid.

In Münster, heating must be quite expensive too. Yesterday at the Cineplex, I was literally freezing. Guess next time I'll have to bring a blanket, a hot water bottle, and 2 pairs of thick socks :-(

I was at the municipal swimming pool with my daughter yesterday. The temperature was lowered to 26 degrees. On the one hand, there were almost no elderly people there (usually different, but apparently now it is too cold for them) and on the other hand, we left after 45 minutes feeling cold even though we had been swimming the entire time. At least it was warm in the changing rooms and there are still warm showers. Call me a wimp, but yes, 26 degrees is simply too cool in the water over a long period.

I still find 26 degrees okay for swimming.
The perception is so different

We are not experiencing any increase either. For gas as well as electricity, we pay last year's price. There is no sign of a tripling of costs. On the contrary, by taking over our gas installment payment from December, we will even pay less for gas this year than last year. That’s nice for a change. Because in times of inflation, every subsidy is welcome. Even if it doesn’t really make sense that we also get the installment payment. But if pensioners who still work are supposed to receive the energy allowance twice, that is somewhat justifiable. And 26 degrees water temperature is quite chilly. It doesn’t have to be 31 degrees, but at least 29 degrees would be good. I’m already looking forward to our wellness hotel where the outdoor pool temperature was lowered from 30 to 25 degrees. But compared to many others, that is only a small sacrifice we are making. Namely, we will just go to the indoor pool, which hopefully will have 29 degrees.
