Yep, our construction financing from 2013 will expire in November 2023. Back then it was 3.0x%, about a month ago we secured a forward loan for 2.9x%.
So it’s basically the same. We have skillfully excluded the lowest interest rates :D ;)
I am also financing my son’s plot of land with a loan from early 2014 at about 3%. But I haven’t taken out a forward loan yet because he actually wants to build in 2024 and then finance it himself. We’ll see how that goes, if it works out. But it’s only 15,000 euros then, which we will pay if necessary. At least the standard land values have since risen fivefold, so he is contributing much more equity.
