P.S. In the financial sector around the turn of the millennium, we were quite sure that BRIC was the big thing. In 2010, the countries dominated everything. We all know where we stand today. The influence of the countries is enormous. But they still have not dominated and displaced the rest of the world in 2022.

Whether China will dominate everything depends mainly on the leadership. And right now the signs point to a new communism. That can quickly backfire. Factors like demographics also absolutely do not speak in favor of China. I would rather bet on India: even larger population, business culture more compatible with the West, many English speakers...

China does not dominate through innovation, but through diligence. However, the current economic boom cannot continue indefinitely. One must not forget that the country has a very high proportion of people of working age. Not only is much more than 40 hours worked per week, there are also few old or young people to be cared for. Even if aging like in Japan can be averted, the employment rate will decline in the future. That alone will already slow things down significantly.

Something about the current situation here on site. The single-family house with 160m2 for only €500,000 and the semi-detached houses with 135m2 for only €400,000. For the price, only tiles and sanitary objects, interior windowsills, interior doors, stair coverings and stair railings, all painting and flooring work, outdoor facilities, the pre- and post-treatment of the wooden ceilings and the wall and floor surfaces (putty work) are still missing. And judging by the pictures, that is still nicely put. Because inside nothing has happened after the shell construction (all pipes are open, all walls in a chic industrial look grey (you can still see all the stones) and even outside the bay window is not plastered. But the air-water heat pump is already installed. That surely makes up for it and will sell the houses quickly. Because no broker commission is payable either. —Irony off—. That is really bitter and shows how quickly things can turn around. I really hope that no one buys these houses and plunges into financial ruin. That would end in a disaster. However, the developer now obviously really has problems (or rather mainly its creditors).
