Here the SRM hardwood comes to about 120-140€ with most providers (but I have also seen absolute moon prices online in the hardware store). And that is already significantly more than in previous years. I have now gotten "clearance stock," 6.5 SRM mixed hardwood for 600€ with delivery. In any case, it's cheaper for us than gas when our price lock expires in January .

I purchased mixed hardwood (black locust, beech, ash...) from a local supplier here for 90 euros per stacked cubic meter. It was the second order, so we qualify as regular customers; he apparently hardly accepts new orders anymore. He is very fair and, according to his own statement, still passes on the prices of old contracts with the forest owners. However, he won't be able to maintain that. Additionally: Delivery times for orders have recently been about 6 (!) months. I have to say, though, that we only operate a small 4KW fireplace with it and only ordered 2 stacked cubic meters.

That is really extremely fair! Delivery times here are mostly around 5-8 weeks at the moment. Of course, prices are hard to compare. One person buys fresh wood, another pre-dried or ready-to-burn wood. Then there are the different units.

That is good. The timber trade in our town is in March according to [Buschfunk]

The prices for firewood will also depend heavily on the region. With us, the SRM beech costs around €120 for self-pickup. No waiting times…

At the hardware store, the m3 still cost around 100 euros a few months ago. No idea what it costs at the moment. Now it is being offered here on classified ads starting at 100 euros, but you have to be careful, some only sell loose cubic meters, which of course is less than stacked. Disposable pallets are always given away, you just have to saw them. We still have a two-year supply. So I have to take care of it at the earliest next year.
