There are indeed voices claiming that China is using the lockdown as a means to secretly support Russia. I don’t know to what extent this is true. However, it is a conceivable consideration.

But the price already includes a few special requests... I didn't mention them

Central ventilation
Broom stroke plaster outside
Fireplace
Plastic-aluminum windows

 Great. We will have it too, at least we are definitely planning it. I hope the price doesn’t knock me out ;)

We received an information letter from the managing director of our main contractor this week. Not a word was mentioned about a price increase. However, he wrote to all clients that there might possibly be delays and work stoppages at the construction sites. Today, our site manager said on the phone that he is still optimistic about meeting the planned completion date for our construction project.

Occam's razor would judge this as unlikely. The Chinese leadership has long claimed how superior they are to the West. Now they cannot get out of this situation without losing face and will push through no matter what. In a functioning democracy, politicians are voted out if they stick to dead ends for too long. And therefore, eventually, loopholes are sought in order to be able to change opinions (requirements from the EU, demands from coalition partners or federal states, ...). In an autocratic system, there is neither the direct pressure to be voted out nor a larger part of the excuses. And that is why all supply chains with Chinese shares (so very many) will still be quite tense this year.
