Are the current "stories" that prefabricated house providers are now paying their customers amounts in the mid five figures to allow them to withdraw from their contracts actually true or is that nonsense? I have heard of two cases independently in the immediate vicinity. Can anyone here confirm this?

Addition: In both cases, the builders apparently insist on the construction of the house and do not want to be paid out (which seems logical somewhere).

Last week received an update on our construction costs (single contract with price escalation clause in the shell construction)

September 2021 €2100/ton steel
May 2022 €2500/ton steel

Does anyone have current figures for flat roofs?

So reinforcing steel was €700/t in September 2021, €1400/t at the beginning of 2022, and most recently €2100/t. Is it now €2500??? :(

No, it has slightly decreased. For him, however, processing was included in that price – as far as I know.

Construction or reinforcing steel is currently falling, stainless steels are also declining in terms of the price per kilogram. According to my sales tool, construction steel is currently at 1.298€/kg. Those who can wait should wait. I don’t have a crystal ball, but I suspect it will continue downward. P.S.: these are pure selling prices to wholesalers.
