Let’s assume the following situation:
It is winter, the sky is cloudy, and the wind is not blowing. And for 2 weeks straight.
Where should the electricity come from?

So sure, there are energy storages. However, they are nowhere near big enough.

I am not scientifically educated enough to be able to judge which side is right. But I am actually very curious how we will live without the consumption of "oil, gas, coal, wood and nuclear" from (at the latest) 2038. I wish for climate protection and really hope it will work. Regarding wind turbines, it seems that they are not environmentally friendly either. Maybe an alternative will be found that affects fewer birds, insects and humans. Solar thermal energy seems to me to be the most environmentally friendly as well as animal- and human-friendly. Therefore, I hope that storage solutions will soon come onto the market that solve the problem. Or that possibilities will be developed to transport solar energy over long distances (for example from Africa or Australia) to us. At a level that can also sustain the chemical, steel and other industries. I am optimistic. Ultimately, the whole thing is an intellectually solvable problem, and I hope for a few clever minds (preferably from Germany ;-) ). In terms of population numbers on this Earth, one hears little/nothing in this context, so I assume that this will also not be a problem in the future.

Let's assume the following situation:

It is summer 2051. You are sitting in your house at 48 degrees and watching TV. You receive an automatically generated message on your smartphone: Severe weather warning. Heavy rain expected in the evening. Your routine kicks in: You go to your storage room and check if your emergency supplies of water, canned goods, and batteries are enough to bridge the upcoming chaos for at least 2 weeks. You are afraid, but the last flood two months ago went relatively smoothly and after a week the cleanup work had progressed enough for grocery stores to reopen. While you annoyedly make preparations to your house, you are also glad to be here. After all, life is still possible here while large parts of Asia and the Mediterranean region are uninhabitable due to drought. Still, you feel powerless and exposed to the raw forces of nature. Your preparations are finished. You go back into your house and wait – you can’t do anything else. While waiting, you go online and read archived forum posts from 2021 by your parents complaining about prohibition policies and saying that "others" in the world are even worse – Only a holistic view would be sensible and as long as China does not reduce CO2 emissions, we don’t need to either. With a laughing and crying eye, you close the archive – They could have known better, you think.

"We always hope for the next day, probably the next day hopes a lot from us." (Ernst R. Hauschka)

What do you mean by that? Of course, the Earth is overpopulated. Or did you mean something else?

According to which standard? Too many cows, too many chickens, too many dogs, too many rats? And who set the limits? I must have been asleep back then. Or were those the ones that fell from the sky engraved on stone tablets?

I mean that the electricity generated (using environmentally and human-friendly methods) is then truly sufficient for all people, as well as water and other resources, since we don’t like to discuss the issue that perhaps we are simply too many people.
