Yes, that’s true :D but whoever can afford a house for 500,000, those 25,000 don’t hurt that much ;)

Just read that lumber prices have already fallen by 40% from the peak at the end of May (at least in the USA). Allegedly, more is currently being produced and many homebuilders there have temporarily put their projects on hold. Let's see when this development reaches us.

Over the weekend, I was informed - almost firsthand - that in our area many started new constructions are not completed by the initiator because the necessary additional financings, which became necessary due to price increases, fail.

Something like this happens when inexperienced people play project managers and is not due to increases in construction costs..
