Our carpenter already said last week that Siberian larch will someday become a dating aid for renovations and houses. :D
However, the export ban on roundwood (!) from Russia was already decided in 2020, if I remember correctly.
That means there will still be Siberian larch here, but not as untreated raw material, rather as a processed product.
This way, a larger part of the value chain is simply kept within the country. It's also somewhat understandable, otherwise you're just a colony in world history.
