My [beeps] too when the door is open, but it has a button to turn off the beeping ;-)
or should I not have said that now?

Doesn't matter, mine doesn't have such fancy features. ;)

As I understand it, a smart meter is optional. Without this feature, you pay the monthly average price plus fees, etc. So it would only be a bet on current costs on the electricity exchange, which will be below the prices of the utilities. Or am I misunderstanding that?

kWh household electricity now 20Ct more expensive. kWh WP electricity now 17Ct more expensive... approx. 50% increase. Somehow I had hoped that it wouldn't rise so drastically for us because of the small municipal utility and the fact that a lot of wind energy is produced right on our doorstep.

A Bonzenfeature would be if the beeping stopped in response to voice control (shut up!).

At least Tibber has now released an add-on for meters with a data interface. The thing is simply plugged onto the "INFO interface." Most newer meters have this type of infrared interface.

Apart from that: The meter belongs to the metering point operator and has nothing to do with the electricity provider.
