I don’t find it that expensive at all. The cheapest official offer we had in Berlin for 55 m² of eco-paving in a gravel bed with lawn edges, etc., was just under 9,000 EUR. We got it cheaper now through an acquaintance (basically just a compensation for expenses and with me as a construction helper). So if everything above includes material and VAT, it’s not that bad for nowadays—depending on the area. However, I would have the paving set in a gravel bed, not directly on the RC.

Roughly estimated, I come to about 6k for materials and machines. The rest is labor and margin

It's also Berlin :) We are still looking... It's not urgent yet, but I would like to have a rough overview of the total costs.

Hmm, is Konstanz cheaper than Berlin? Because I come to 6k EUR just for materials. And I have fairly recently bought all such things and chosen the (second) cheapest prices everywhere. But even if - that is labor for three to four person-weeks. Let's say one who knows what he's doing and a helper. 60h * 70 EUR + 60h * 30 EUR = 6k EUR So another 2.5k EUR for machines and margin. That’s not much. As I said, the offer seems fine to me – for Berlin. Still getting two more offers. Maybe negotiate a split bed for the paving (granite grit, no graywacke or basalt). Of course, you can still wait, I also think that landscapers are currently still quite busy. P.S. The running meters of lawn edging seem too little to me for the given areas. Are they that compact? No paths/driveway included?

I didn't find that too expensive at first glance either. That's quite a few square meters. Disposal is currently also very expensive, according to our BU. We stored everything on the property because we were not willing to pay for it.

Maybe instead of a (expensive) landscape gardener, just talk to a paver. Speaking from my own experience. Paving „Zeta“ from Grafe Beton from 2021 for just under €11 net/sqm. Got it myself, gravel and curbs as well.
