Exactly. Speaking of heat pumps... as mentioned above, ours arrived after about 8 weeks. It is a Brötje Neo 8. Ordered from the local plumber, who in turn ordered from the local wholesaler. Does anyone have experience with Brötje? The plumber installed only Viessmann for years. Now he says that the quality has declined and that Viessmann’s policy is not okay: many repairs, parts supposedly very expensive... Maybe he just wanted to push the Brötje on us?

No big deal, everyone as they wish. For me, the small financial difference plus availability were decisive. I will create a thread in the forum about our project after moving in (planned December 22), and give the purchase, the renovation, and everything around it a story with all the ups and downs. But there is still a long way to go.

If you can still somehow reorder the heat pump, do it! "Bigger is better" is the cardinal mistake when sizing heat pumps, and sorry, disqualifies your acquaintance. It's not about extra cost but about efficiency and wear. Absolutely wrong decision.

8kw is still too big.

As an example (already mentioned elsewhere), just under 6KW would have been sufficient for our well over 300m² living space in the passive house, divided into 4 residential units! It ended up being, among other things due to subdivision, 2x 7KW heat pumps (but modulating down significantly)

well, better a big one than none at all?
My brother-in-law, an HVAC planner by profession, heard from one of his known wholesalers that a heat pump package was offered to him. If I remember correctly: 52 units, a mixed batch from small to large, brine-water heat pumps to air-air heat pumps, discontinued - current models (but all new goods)
Package price 350K, the dealer apparently jumped at the chance immediately ;)
P.S: I’m not quite sure about the number of units and the sums, but the main message remains: installers take what they can get so that they can at least process orders)

ECB raises the key interest rate by 0.5 percentage points. This is more than the initially expected 0.25 percentage points. It is often said here that the interest rate increase is already anticipated and priced into the current rates. However, I fear that the additional 0.25 percentage points will give mortgage rates an additional, strong boost.
