Yes, that can happen. But unfortunately, there are other realities as well. The girl in your example was already older. Younger children can’t always do something like that. Look at "problem families" and see how many children there don’t achieve what they actually could. And that’s not because of diligence. And it also strongly depends on intelligence. Someone with an IQ of 70 or 80 will not become a professor (to put it very simply).

Right, but most people with an IQ of 70-80 don’t write here on the forum and "complain" ;) :p :D
I explicitly mentioned exceptions. However, the vast majority of the "complainers" are still doing quite well (in Germany).

Here you exactly confirm what I mean. "Could"? Want to? Drive and motivation? That depends not only on intellect...

I mention it again. I am for social justice, better education and completely free access to it (which we don’t have), fairer pay, no corruption, no "redistribution from the bottom to the top," no drifting apart of social classes, etc.
But the reality is that everyone has to move their own ass. I don’t know anyone who earns well (very well) and didn’t still or at least for a very long time work for it (by that I mean at least 10-14 hour days, weekends, etc.). And yes, I do know a few people who have several million in assets. And also some who practically have nothing; most of them “don’t want to” (I know no exception among them).

Euro pallets are untreated from the production side - as long as they have not been on any overseas containers. Disposable pallets can be made from untreated wood, but a lot of stuff can also be mixed in. With used pallets, no one knows where they have been, what was transported, which lubricants or goods have leaked. Therefore, I would never consider a used pallet as untreated.

Since I have perceived the posts of the two fellow commentators differently and also have a different perspective on them, I would be interested to know why they are described as "inappropriate privileged whining." Especially since, as a woman without (own) children, I assume that the financial worries and existential fears, among other things, are multiplied when you have children. As an adult individual or couple, I think you always somehow get by.

I do not find our school system entirely good (we ourselves were already at the school authority this year and would have gone as far as the Ministry of Education), but there are supports that also have to be accepted. You cannot take everything away from the parents. Our after-school care has very good homework supervision. You can rely on the homework being fully completed, with this or that explained again. Nevertheless, the school and after-school care say that for 1st grade, 10 minutes of reading practice must be done at home, and you should look every day at the school materials to see what was done. Even that some parents cannot manage. Participation in educational opportunities is taken up very cautiously – whether that is only the case in the village because everyone knows everyone – no idea. This year, the OGS received a (quite generous) budget from the Free State of Bavaria for tutoring to compensate for the Corona deficits. Who attends the OGS? Not the children/youth who "need" it. The OGS is free of charge, except for participation in the warm lunch (40 euros per month). Everyone can also bring a sandwich, so nothing has to be paid at all. In addition, there are families who do not manage to send their children on time to the school bus. It is always the same children who are missing. They are then simply reported sick again for one day. How are you supposed to compensate for that in the best school system? However, there are also educationally disadvantaged families whose children always arrive on time with complete homework, who take care and get things done. Especially in rural areas, everyone goes to the same school. There sits the doctor's son, next to the boy whose father is in prison, behind them the entrepreneur's daughter who is friends with the housekeeper's daughter. There is a very different level of equal opportunity here compared to, for example, the USA, where anyone who can afford it sends their child to a private institution.

Paragraph 3 of the BImSchV states what you are allowed to burn; waste wood is not listed there, which means you are committing an administrative offense by burning it. A well-informed stove owner should know that. In case of doubt, you can also inquire at your responsible municipal administration.

With disposable pallets, especially on eBay, you can never say whether and how they were treated, or where and how they were stored and what substances they came into contact with.
