This is what a Telekom APL connection box looks like. The black cable comes from the ground, and the orange cable goes into the house distribution. Only 2 wires lead to the telephone socket inside the house itself.
The difference between the box on the outside wall and the box inside on the wall is exactly 800 euros.
As stated at the beginning of the discussion, the outside installation is free, and Telekom has an obligation to connect. And there are no other fees or tariffs because after the house is connected, it doesn’t matter whether it is inside or outside.
The photo is for illustration purposes only. In reality, there are significantly fewer cables entering.
If the hole has already been drilled in the wall and a hammer drill is on hand for the few anchor holes, I would say with 90 percent certainty, the technician will also install the APL box inside instead of outside. Maybe a cup of coffee beforehand helps too.
Anyone who can’t manage that simply pays the 800 euro connection cost and that’s that. Money doesn’t matter anyway.
By the way, the entire Telekom network lies completely unprotected and publicly accessible for everyone. There is no security here.
The distribution boxes and cabinets are accessible everywhere. Hacking a telephone connection is easily possible with a little basic knowledge. And nobody needs to enter your property for that.
