The thing with the links really annoyed me too :-( oh man, that’s really annoying. I didn’t think he was that easy to drive away. Unfortunately, there’s no really good alternative anyway.

Well, the green forum is just a bit rougher in tone, but much less restrictive in terms of administration. I actually never find the right category there and feel that there is less activity. At least regarding my relevant questions, I found hardly any posts/answers. Then there is the "shopping center around the corner," which is basically the mirrored word Green. There are really a lot of experts there, but in my opinion, they are more interested in self-praise and joking around than in helping. So in terms of users, this forum is definitely the most likeable. That the management is strange is just the downside. This post will probably be deleted soon and I will get a warning... Therefore, something again about construction costs: I also notice falling wood prices, but not so much that you would now gladly build a wooden terrace. What do you think? Wait another year or rather strike now?

I "have to" build my wooden terrace very soon as well. I see prices from regional timber dealers starting at about €2.5 per linear meter for Douglas fir, over about €6 for, for example, thermowood pine, up to about €7 per linear meter for Siberian larch (premium quality, 27x134mm, smooth/grooved). At the top end, with tropical wood from €9 up to €17, everything is possible. How far is that from former prices, for example from early 2020?

What wood would you recommend if I don't want tropical wood and smooth boards without grooving?
I only need about 15m², so price is not that relevant...

I recommend reading my post properly again and not just picking something out of context ;)

I quoted your entire post, except for the last sentence. In what way is that now important to understand the context? That was your post:

And my question was merely why I have to constantly brake and accelerate at a speed of 130 km/h, but can drive constantly at a speed of 170 km/h. After all, you also have the traffic jams and construction sites without a speed limit. And constantly accelerating from 80 km/h to 130 km/h consumes less fuel than constantly accelerating from 80 km/h to 170 km/h.

But you can gladly explain your statement to me, because I would really like to understand it.

Wow, that is significantly cheaper than what I see here. The cheapest was Douglas fir for €5.99.
