Well. You can definitely prefer a different type of husbandry for certain labels (not all) even in supermarkets. And the alternative you didn't mention is: Then just don't, or only rarely. Meat is not an indispensable food, but a product that is only not considered a luxury BECAUSE it is so cheap. But of course you are right that the "deception" you named exists. I would just draw a different conclusion from it than you ;-).

That is absolutely right. All solutions/approaches are better than obtaining even a single cubic meter of gas from this criminal state.

As I wrote... €9.99. He also keeps animals himself and they are not cramped.
It just caught my attention because I think that especially these direct sellers have their calculations closely aligned with market conditions.
That doesn’t work with the discounters. That comes with a delay and during the time of a normal fattening period, farmers end up biting their nails because they cannot produce cost-effectively. In the next fattening cycle, fewer animals will be fattened, so the supply decreases and the prices rise further.
..., however, I am not so sure if I should not consider that a good thing.
At least up to a certain extent, that is not a bad development.
Having meat once a week is okay too.

Whether it's meat prices, wind turbines, or gas from Russia. You can't eat the cake and keep it at the same time! We actually eat quite a lot of meat but for a long time I have been trying to buy organic products or from local farmers/hunters as often as possible (which is rather rare in the big city). As a "Swabian housewife" I of course also pay attention to special offers on organic meat in the supermarket. If it seems too expensive to me, then there is less or vegetarian. No one loses face because of that. But the reality is also that not everyone lives in the countryside like in the romantic Bullerbü, where everyone can provide themselves regionally from happy animals and plants. As for the wind turbines: I assume that almost everyone would like to use alternative and as environmentally friendly energy sources as possible. But these should please not be located in front of one's own doorstep. That is human but not very productive. The wind turbines have to go somewhere. However, I also think that politics is required to create clear and fair guidelines and laws so that no one feels disadvantaged.

I also come from Franconia. Several wind turbines stand between 1 km and 1.4 km away from our planned new development area and reserved plot. When the construction area became more concrete, we were often there at different times and weather conditions. For me, that is far from dramatic, and we would have gladly taken the plot anyway.
That is no comparison to the KGG Grafenrheinfeld, which, although shut down, still just stands there looking rather mediocre.

It's like so many things in life – people preach an environmentally conscious and sustainable lifestyle – as long as the measures don’t affect themselves. That's also the case with wind turbines, a really great thing, but: NOT IN MY BACKYARD. This attitude will have to be abandoned sooner or later.
