Construction costs are currently skyrocketing

I don't know how often this has been asked and answered already. The ECB's key interest rate initially has NO impact on a construction financing interest rate.

No idea how often and who you are and what you do.. but I don't believe there is no reaction now. How was it with the fuel, 30 cents down is not possible because it was purchased expensively... But 30 cents up happened immediately. Anyone who still believes in normal processes in the economy and financial world nowadays has slept through the last 2.5 years. People simply grab without thinking.

And at times they were downright arrogant, especially the landscape gardeners. How many quotation requests we had to pay for, if anyone even deigned to respond at all. Any form of polite business conduct was usually nowhere to be found. Now, in particular, the landscape gardeners often desperately seek contracts.

Unfortunately, I can absolutely confirm this. For 2 !! years we looked for a landscape gardener. We wrote to EVERYONE in the directory and within a 20km radius – nothing! We didn’t receive a single response. Then we even called everyone – still no appointment was made. We couldn’t believe it. Eventually, we found one of those “doorbell company flyers” in the mailbox. We got in touch and someone did come. They looked at everything, discussed it, and even handed over a plan for the outdoor facilities. That was 9 months ago and despite multiple inquiries, we never received a quote. So much for that. Then recently, when we offered our paving stones for free on the respective portal before the demolition started, three “characters” contacted us asking if we were looking for someone to redo the outdoor facilities. We politely declined and are doing it ourselves now, no matter how the result will ultimately look, rather than humbling ourselves.

Sad but true. That's exactly how it is right now with the solar installers....
