How can that be, when the heat pump is 4-5x more efficient than a gas heater? ;)
Even if you just want to rant: because neither heating engineers nor the people have any knowledge or interest in efficient settings. Even with an annual performance factor of 3, I still get a good 10-12 cents per kWh. Still less than the gas price cap. To be honest, I also suspect that the prices will develop correspondingly in parallel.
