Uh, are you living on a different planet than the Russians? Yes, now you don’t hear much about the damage the sanctions cause. But if you read a little further, you realize how devastating the sanctions really are. Examples? Car sales have collapsed by 3/4 because of missing supplier parts. What is now newly produced are cars from the 80s. No ABS, no power steering, no connectivity, no automatic transmission possible, no onboard computer anymore, etc. Price for that is unaffordable. Something like that already happened in the GDR... Over 1,000 companies have left Russia, meaning the loss of about 5 million jobs. Takeovers like with McD are the exception. Dramatic rise in the cost of living for Russians – inflation there significantly higher than here. Basic foodstuffs have become really expensive. Delivery of semiconductors to Russia has crashed by 90% – with all consequences on the production of goods. Whether refrigerators, cars, PCs, etc. Flight spare parts are no longer available. The result is that parts of the aircraft fleet have already been grounded as spare parts donors. In half a year, hardly any plane in Russia will be able to fly. Young and educated skilled workers are leaving the country by the hundreds of thousands. Which Russian is laughing all the way? The one who no longer has a job? The one who can no longer afford his food? The one who now partly has to pay five times as much for a parallel-imported mobile phone (iPhones), but no longer receives any warranty or repairs from the manufacturer?

Sorry, I expressed myself incorrectly. They were Corona deniers who put themselves above science and think they know better than experts and doctors.

I know the comparison to Poland very well. There, hardly anything was introduced regarding wearing masks etc. What was the result? Poland had the most deaths per capita in the EU. Partly worldwide as well. Same example Bulgaria.

I cannot understand why people get upset about a piece of fabric. You probably do not come from the care sector and do not know what it was like.

That cannot be left like that.

1.) There has never been a vaccination mandate in Germany for the entire population. Everyone can voluntarily decide to get vaccinated. If one has not done so, as an adult, one simply has to live with the consequences, as one was a danger to the general public. And anyone who claims that the corona measures were exaggerated, I wish no one a severe course of illness, which may feel far away now but was very close to many lateral thinkers during the time of the Delta variant. Because just because the current variant fortunately runs milder does not mean it is harmless to get infected. Long-COVID and breathing problems are no joke. Anyone who considers the measures ineffective is consciously putting themselves in a very particular corner. Because at these protests, a very strange group of AfD and Putin supporters and corona deniers gather. That is only a very small, somewhat louder minority!

2.) The sanctions are and were correct, because the reason for the high energy prices is not the EU sanctions but Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Freedom also has its price, so we must deal as best as possible with the Russian reaction, but one must not forget: press and freedom of opinion are not given away for free. And that is why such a war must not be rewarded by omission of assistance. Because one does not want to imagine the gain of an autocrat in Europe. Anyone who claims that the sanctions bring nothing is serving an assumption that is extremely dangerous, as the sanctions will harm Russia more than us in the long term and the sanctions will technologically set Russia back.

3.) Anyone who claims that our media are propaganda does not live in reality but in their own bubble with an adventurous worldview. Because if you turn on the news, questions about the effectiveness of the sanctions are indeed discussed, and both government and opposition present their arguments for measures rigorously. That is real democracy.

That is enough off-topic now, but this view from a very dangerous corner cannot be left like that.

This is exactly the nonsense that drives me up the wall. Sorry, I have to say it so clearly.

1) There was no vaccination mandate only because exactly the people you defame prevented it. Vaccinations for risk groups during corona are a blessing, for everyone else, in my opinion, a curse. But no matter how one thinks about it and which data one uses, it is fascism to demand mandatory vaccinations as the Green-Red coalition did. Unvotable parties. The data on Delta and vaccine damages were already available back then. The best came from the UK health authority. But Australia was also top. None of that was in the public broadcasting media. They do not work as well as you claim here.

2) This is exactly the stupid propaganda babble of the public broadcasting media. I believe you like to consume that? Russia is the aggressor and invades its neighboring country in violation of international law. Cruel and unacceptable. But at least provoked by the USA, if not calculated. The USA has already invaded several countries; I just mention Iraq and Afghanistan. None of these wars was justified; both were significantly more brutal wars of annihilation. Where was the outcry then, the sanctions? The sanctions against Russia are mostly wrong because they miss their effect and drive Russia into China’s arms. Only very few countries worldwide have joined the sanctions; 90% support Russia. Very dangerous!

3) Anyone who really believes that only Russian state television spreads propaganda and that he receives serious information from ZDF and ARD lives behind the moon. The whole scandals that are currently boiling up, e.g., in NDR where journalists are suppressed and content is left-framed, is just the tip of the iceberg. The level of public broadcasting is subterranean!

But we have a huge advantage compared to dictatorships: we can still additionally inform ourselves alternatively; it is not forbidden or censored as in China and Russia. But many TV sheep simply do not do that.

No, they were not Corona deniers. Cheap framing by the media. Certainly, there were a few idiots who thought the virus didn’t exist etc. Such lunatics always exist but they were fringe phenomena, less than 1%. Most people were outraged because 2G was a disgusting and completely useless exclusion and discrimination. The evaluation of the measures confirmed this, as did the view towards Sweden and other countries.

Masks are very unpleasant, I reluctantly wore them dutifully for 2 years, but now it’s over. You breathe in microplastics and glue. Besides, it’s a huge environmental sin. At this point in time, it’s total nonsense; I get angry when I see young indoctrinated people shopping with masks. People have been put into panic for 2 years, terrible what was done.
