So first of all, they were not vaccine deniers. What a crazy word. They were people who disagreed with the Corona policy and demanded voluntary vaccination. No 2G. These people were proven right, they have my thanks. By the way, the pointless Covid measures burned through 500 billion euros. With that, the entire energy transition could have been financed. Again, the Greens and also the SDP were at the forefront here.
I agree with you that many things went wrong under Merkel. For example, she should never have given up nuclear power plants or should have promoted renewables more. Or rather, created structures for the energy transition.
But gas prices only exploded because we shoot ourselves in the foot with the sanctions and the Russians are laughing themselves silly. They earn more than ever and otherwise have few problems with the sanctions. And it was mainly the Greens who wanted this severity.
Germany is not as wealthy as it is always portrayed. In many topics, for example wealth or pension ratios, we rank only in the midfield.
Our main problem is the media. The majority do not report objectively, especially the public broadcaster as state media with fact checks is mostly pure propaganda. Some people only consume that and are thus completely dumbed down. Of course, there is also the other side that only reads Telegram and Russian propaganda. That is even worse.
I advise, if possible, to get information from both sides and then a clear and often understandable picture emerges.
Sorry, I expressed myself incorrectly. They were Corona deniers who put themselves above science and think they know better than experts and doctors.
I know the comparison to Poland very well. There, hardly anything was introduced regarding wearing masks etc. What was the result? Poland had the most deaths per capita in the EU. Partly worldwide as well. Same example Bulgaria.
I cannot understand why people get upset about a piece of fabric. You probably do not come from the care sector and do not know what it was like.
