If I was a bit too harsh in my post addressed to you, please forgive me. I certainly did not want to offend you and only wanted to present my point of view. If I overstepped, I apologize.
Your post was completely fine, you write objectively and do not insult – where is the problem?
You are certainly right with your objections. I only see a problem where large inheritances are passed on, because then again only a few get richer.
And what are they supposed to do? Sell their house which was paid off for over 30 years and move into 75 sqm in a 40-unit apartment block?
And if not? Expropriation?
Ideally, of course, the "200 sqm retiree couple" would move into a medium-sized multi-family house with maybe 10 units, with a garden and an elevator. That can still be 100 sqm of living space. Because then the 200 sqm bunker could be torn down and on the property, in turn, a multi-family house for 4 families could be built. I spoke of a certain pressure, not expropriation – I’m not Boris Palmer and not mayor of Tübingen ;-)
My dream would be lots of cooperatively organized housing companies or purely state-owned companies without profit-making obligations and with strictly solidarity-oriented principles, as well as legal protection by the state, which would then build the mentioned medium-sized multi-family houses.
