Friends received a bid award of 200€/sqm a few weeks ago. If you want to build there as an outsider, you pay 700€ and up. (Hamburg metropolitan area) I have already heard several times that municipalities want to help young families realize the dream of owning a home. 25% of the building plots are supposed to be allocated this way.

That is of course like hitting the jackpot. Some people just have extremely good luck in life. The rest just have to pay the €700+.

According to an article in Wirtschaftswoche dated 01/21, the price of brass has increased by 40% compared to last year, therefore Grohe will raise prices by 5% as of 07/01, the rest is expected to be offset by productivity gains and cost reductions. It remains exciting, our bathroom planning is still pending. Overall, I am glad that we have a solid standard in the developer contract and the previous additional charges were completely okay.

I avoid this company wherever possible. The whole thing is just another move to get rid of the employees in Germany.

In the Hannover area, the price for a 'normal' new build should be around €4,000/sqm

It's certainly the same in Munich. At the moment, everything is coming together, cheap money in large quantities -> inflation, high demand, limited supply, and tight capacities and raw material supply. Anyone who has just finished building must consider themselves lucky. But it has been like this in recent years as well, just not as extreme.
