Besides rising prices (also energy and raw materials again), it is especially due to the increase in value-added tax. Back then, it went from 16% to 19%.Why is 2006 such a strong price jump?

An AfD voter talks about the culture of discussion. What matrix have I landed in now?
In our place with 5,500 inhabitants it looks like this: 4 supermarkets, two of which have bakery branches in the entrance area and all four have bakery stations inside (how that adds up financially, no idea). The gas station also has a bake shop. Additionally, two branches of smaller bakery chains in the city center and one bakery that actually still has its own bakery on site and is owner-operated. One bakery branch has been closed for three months due to staff shortage. Some of these bakeries are simply so small that they can't make a living from the baked goods they sell and rather pass as a café with a bakery counter... No idea if a consolidation here would be good, but soberly considered the closure of one bakery branch is not really a loss.I just did some accounting and had the Bundestag debate running in the background. What annoys me the most is this bickering from EVERYONE. As if that would make things better. There's ZERO constructive input. Why do they even do that? So why are there these "debates"? Can't it be done better? And first of all, I would introduce a ban on mobile phones. If I'm already sitting there, then I should please be mentally present  And with bakeries and their energy problems currently in the spotlight; we have here in the municipality (central town has about 3,500 inhabitants) two bakeries (that really bake), two branches of a bigger chain, four grocery stores/discount stores with baked goods, a gas station with baked goods and a bakery that delivers (from the neighboring village). Two bakeries closed three years ago due to age reasons, but this year there was a new building added opposite a discounter. How was it again? Bakeries are the most widespread fast food places. oh yes....and everyone is looking for staff...that adds to it. My sympathy is about as limited as it is for the large factory farms, which are now gradually reducing their stock. So maybe a reduction in certain areas isn't entirely stupid.
I have no problem with well-founded criticism. But I do have a problem with insults and moralizing. "Nonsense" "Telegram babble" "Go live in another country" are pretty much the most primitive arguments there are, but by now also well known. No more culture of discussion.
Because a Green or Social Democrat voter is better. Tiring, this AFD bashing.
