According to an article on ntv, the price of wood in the USA has recently dropped sharply. Let's see how it develops here.

In addition to the price increase and delivery delay of our wood-aluminum windows, we are now also confronted with price increases / supply shortages in other areas.

The roofer mentioned price increases for parapet covers, downpipes, etc. of up to 18.5% starting from 1.7. That adds up per running meter as well. He is now trying to buy everything we need by then. According to him, he currently could not build a roof like ours with the sloped insulation, etc., because the materials are missing. No idea if there is any truth to that.

Regarding ETICS and EPS, I am currently waiting for valid statements. That will become clear in the coming days. So far, we have only dealt with price increases for EPS (20-25%).

However, the electrician has indicated to me that copper cables are now in short supply. He is missing 23,000 m of various types, regardless of cross-sections. It was planned that he would start the electrical installation in week 28. Let's see if that remains the case. Since his company is rather one of the larger ones, for which single-family houses represent a side business, this now worries me.

I can confirm the electrician situation, it's the same with us. He has already ordered what is still missing (all components in the four sub-distributions as well as the two main distributors) because from 01.07. there will probably be a "general price increase" of about 7% in that area. Everything we still have to install ourselves, I already ordered last week, but it's only for 2K of small electrical stuff ;) The 7% would have been bearable there. Our house builder, however, spoke of already falling prices for wood, especially KVH etc.

Another sector that is curiously affected by resource scarcity. Our glazier mentioned over the weekend that there are currently longer delivery times for insulated safety glass because the interlayer films are poorly or not available at all  Delivery times are currently still "only" about 6-8 weeks, but longer delivery times are foreseeable.

An acquaintance who is a gas/water installer will soon be on short-time work because no goods are available. Copper pipes 100% more expensive, heating boilers currently not deliverable. Last week my colleague told me that her husband now has to take three weeks of company vacation (bricklayer). Otherwise, there is a vacation ban in the summer. For a few weeks now, they have also been working only 4 days a week...

We are currently also planning our renovation, here are a few figures:

[*]Brand Windows/Doors as of today 6.8%
[*]Reflexa Roller Shutters from 15.07.2021 5.9%
    [*]Somfy Products from 01.08.2021 2%
[*]Velux Products so far 0%, remains (initially constant)
    [*]Solarlux Highline/Products so far 0%
[*]Knauf wants to increase the prices for blown-in insulation materials by 30-35% from 1.7., according to the insulation company’s statement

Annoying, but still manageable.
