I find it amusing that so many are bothered by the price.
YES, it was expensive. YES, it was significantly more than we had planned. YES, it shocked us.
BUT, we contacted (or tried via configurator) every (cheap) provider we found on the Internet. Wood, metal, concrete, everything was included. Then we also asked 2 local carpenters.
All offers (in the end there were 5-6) ranged between 18 and 25 THOUSAND EUROS. Many were eliminated beforehand because, as mentioned, no carport according to our development plan was possible (no 40° roof or no greenery or insufficient structural stability, ...). One declined because their order book for this year was already full (that was in April/May). One withdrew the offer because the permissible roof load for our snow load zone was not met at all  (This only came out after inquiry, because I wondered how greenery was supposed to fit on it).
With the (cheap) providers, sometimes even assembly was not included. (Great, because I can surely assemble 7.5m long wooden beams myself :D ).
Oh, the wooden carports were also offered with untreated spruce wood. (Again great, because that is so durable outdoors ;)).
That's why we ended up going with the concrete slab.
Whether that was due this year to the cost explosions for materials or the high demand. No idea. Maybe it was cheaper before. I can't say either. I've never built a carport before :p.
If you can buy a standard off-the-shelf 08/15 wooden carport, congratulations (and a bit of envy ;)). Special things drive the price extremely.
