Well, it was just a joke that certainly wasn't meant personally. The prices are really skyrocketing. Everyone who is currently building notices that. Those who are already finished and still remember their prices in their head can hardly comment. Besides, there are always differences in execution and details also cost money.

Human , might as well tear down your house if the carport is already so ridiculous. Man, can’t you just be as great and smart as some troll here wants to make you believe, implying that you’re just stupid?
I’ve never seen such a shitty carport, you should have called me, I know a guy who always does it for half the price and always twice as good as the others; how pathetic!

How great do I find it when others write to me about how expensive, ugly, and wrong my decision was for something, because they – as always – made the perfect, cheapest, best choice. I love those kinds of comments!
And then I walk through the neighborhoods where the dead-boring houses of these know-it-alls stand and I get a rash just from looking.
Someone bought a carport and is happy with the result, something some people will never be and feel it as a bitter loss in life if the blinds don’t automatically go to half past seven when dad comes home with the Skoda station wagon.
Now their windows freeze in winter and the car might even get some of that nasty rain, I really crack up over such nonsense.
Clear decision, no more searching stress, buyer is satisfied = 100 points!!! Until you post a picture or info in the forum and suddenly feel cheated because someone tells you that you’re an idiot!

It looks good (including the house and property that can be seen in the photo). But what is worth 20k about this frame? In my opinion, only the entrepreneur and his bank account are happy here.

Where the value comes from has been explained several times: It is primarily the additional load. A €5000 kit simply does not work in some regions, especially with [Begrünung].

It is like with houses. In the standard program, the price per sqm is low. If individual wishes are added, the price rises disproportionately. However, I was actually shocked by the pure price and the result. After the explanation, it is probably a "normal price".

The 20k for the described execution doesn't really shock me when I think of an acquaintance who has an original offer of 15k and now 23k for a similar execution made of wood (only with side cladding). He ultimately abandoned building a carport...

In 2019, I (and also my builder) were already slightly speechless about the costs of my masonry carport with roof covering, storage room, floor slab, 2 steel doors, window, plaster, electrical, etc. for 35k o_O
