We recently needed some as well (30 pieces of formwork panels) for the "on-site" foundations and buying was out of the question for the reasons mentioned above. Our concrete contractor kindly lent us some along with a canister of formwork oil on the condition that we use it. It didn't cost anything ;)

Well ... I would have been willing to pay 10% - or a bit more. But definitely not 300%. I would not accept such a price increase on principle. I need the wood as a 'slip barrier' for our wood chips on the slope. Borrowing is unfortunately not possible. Hopefully, I will be able to get some scrap wood somewhere ...

I recently saw wood in classifieds. You should be able to find something for you there.

How will construction costs likely develop now that we have to rebuild all the flood areas? Maybe the export ban on lumber will still come in this emergency? At least the sawmills should have enough guts to forego dollars and RMB to help the people who have lost everything.

You don’t really believe that, do you? Nobody gives up money, unless they have huge amounts "to spare."

I just hope that everyone is properly insured! And that there are enough craftsmen who have appointments available promptly.

It won't be possible anytime soon. Braunsbach took years. If they are even finished at all. And the place is small...
