Yep, I think 105 kWh/m²/a for an insulated house is really a lot... P.S.: Your advance payment will not only increase in January. The first increase comes in October due to the levies (already included in my figures). Whether your supplier can maintain the (estimated) 6 cents per kWh until January is also uncertain. Even price guarantees are currently worth nothing.

Projected, that should approximately be our consumption as well. What you must not forget is the location. In northern Germany, we have fairly mild winters. In the last years, it was hardly colder than -5 degrees. Mostly, we are around refrigerator temperatures.

I assume that insulation was done differently back then than it is today? After all, it was almost 30 years ago

How do you come up with 6 cents? The surcharge was already set at 2,… cents. At the same time, the VAT on the entire price is reduced to 7%. Therefore, there should be little to no increase due to the surcharge.

The 6ct are approximately the old price. If things go badly, which is likely, all the old prices will already be history by 01.10., and new, adjusted prices will apply. The new prices are currently already at 31ct. For the mentioned 10,000kWh, that means about €200 more than before - €265 per month. For an already insulated house with few m² - other, larger buildings will be hit harder..

EnBW raised from 26 to 36 cents/kWh for me.
