You can see it here in the forum's financing thread. Where a year ago three threads were opened per day, now it's maybe three per week?
I would assume that many are simply waiting at the moment. When it becomes clear towards the end of the year where the interest rates stand (in the medium term) and the material shortages stabilize again, the interested parties will become active again. However, those who are not already building or at least have secured financing will probably prefer to go on vacation for now and see how things look in a year.
Mechanical engineering alongside Automotive, service providers, even construction Full order books, goods are missing things often do not run smoothly anymore. Eventually, it is no longer possible to reduce overtime.
That was the case at the beginning of March - when there was a stop on orders everywhere - now most of the (majority of) lines are running again. That's why I was previously asking in surprise.
On average, a building permit definitely takes 3-4 months - for me it was 10, it was corona time...
Or 4 weeks as a notification. I think we are slowly losing the thread here. A year ago, the increase pushed many to the limit. This year's cost increase went a bit beyond that, and now interest rates are added. With 80k additional costs and 2.8% interest (almost quadrupled in half a year!) I would now be down to a sad 1.12% initial repayment. I definitely wouldn't build to our standard anymore and very likely not at all. Because even without price increases... just due to the higher interest rates, the repayment is now so low and the term so long...
