You actually managed to unsettle me, even if your post was perhaps meant as a joke. To be honest, I have no idea. I also regularly wonder, when reading descriptions of suspects in police reports, why they are allowed to write "man". If I were a man, I would resist that.

Somehow you have to protect people from continuing to buy combustion engines. Otherwise, they buy the biggest polluters and then look completely shocked when they can't afford the gasoline in five years. Then everyone screams about how stupid the government was and why it didn't do anything. Then they turn to the radicals and we have a mess. That's currently happening with gas. Everyone knows from whom we get that stuff, how harmful it is, how dependent we are, and yet they still install those things. Now it turns out how stupid that was and everyone is screaming.

So better prevention. There is far too little of it in the country. Others are further ahead. With Corona, heating, and of course cars.

What stupid and irresponsible people those are who buy existing houses, for which they save and pay off for years. Then they shy away from the small investment of several tens of thousands of euros to make the older home into one with current insulation standards, so that a heat pump can at least be operated moderately. And what idiots those are who buy used cars (and maybe can only afford that) to drive them until the end. They should just lease an electric car for a few hundred euros a month, fall into debt, and do that regularly. Man man man.... There is more than just ONE right way.

You, this is really not meant to be offensive, but there are things I simply do not understand. Getting upset about not being allowed to say "Zigeunerschnitzel" is one of those things. Someone can try five times to explain to me what they don’t like about it, I will never be able to comprehend it. If you want to find it pointless, fine, that may be the case, but getting upset about it? Really? And furthermore: What would it accomplish if I understood it? That wouldn’t change my opinion that it’s logical not to say "Zigeunerschnitzel" anymore – we would be exactly back to the same point. So, this discussion is absolutely pointless. By the way, I do accept the opinion, but I don’t like being called arrogant and hypocritical. “Old white man” is not an insult, even if that is being twisted here in this direction. ;)

With more foresight, the existing houses would have been better renovated and easily converted to heat pumps. So it's not an argument, it only shows the failure of decades of corrupt politics. And that, in turn, is no reason to continue like this and still equip unrenovated houses with new high-temperature heating systems, right? The same game with cars. The earlier the number of electric cars is large, the sooner they come onto the used market in large numbers and are affordable for low earners. They then enjoy maintenance costs that are far lower than they were with combustion engines and have more of their money and do not fall into debt traps.
