But you don't see much of an integrated spot. I wouldn't know why you'd necessarily want to change it.

We have spots in the ground floor hallway and above the showers, I wouldn't necessarily do much more than that.

For what exactly now? Because you write with wiring but without light bulbs? Light bulbs would actually be what is colloquially called a "bulb" that you screw into the socket. Then the spot and possibly transformer etc. would already be included...

You probably mean that the cables to the spots are all already laid? Just be careful not to deceive yourself... under certain circumstances, you won't be much cheaper with surface-mounted lights either. But it really depends on your requirements.

And in general. I also don't understand the general aversion some have against recessed lights. Especially since they can be very versatile. And of course you are not quite as free as with a light outlet but of course I can replace them later. Because of the given dimensions you are somewhat limited but it’s not like only one recessed light will fit. And here too, a recessed light is not the same as a spot.

But I am also against scattering spots like in a minefield. You just have to think and combine. One does not exclude the other.

Because tastes change, and people want to have nice lamps… Not so much in the hallway and shower, but some even want them in the living room.

We were given 70-90 per spot. We are also currently considering where to place which. Bathroom / WC probably, dressing room, a few in the kitchen (there will be other lamps over the island), and maybe in the living room, but I’m still unsure about that.

We were initially set on recessed spotlights but then deviated and now have none at all. A minimalist surface-mounted spotlight will go in the shower, the bathroom will get a multiple ceiling spotlight, the guest WC will have a lamp with three individual lights hanging from the ceiling (one for the WC, two for the sinks), the hallway will have three Ikea Nymane sets of three ceiling spotlights, the kitchen island and adjacent table will get a track system with four spots and two pendant lights, the living room the same, the remaining rooms simple ceiling lamps, the bedroom has no ceiling lamp but only closet lighting and bedside lamps. Here and there ambient lighting will sneak in.

A Halox box with cable inside (Spot montiere ich) costs €129. A cable from the ceiling for a surface-mounted spot (montiere ich) costs €38... As said, kitchen, hallway ground floor and bathroom (T-Aufteilung) should have spots installed
