Uh, do you live on a different planet than the Russians? Yes, you don’t hear much about what the sanctions are causing right now. But if you read a little further, you’ll notice how devastating the sanctions are. Examples? Sales of cars have collapsed by three quarters because of missing supplier parts. What is newly produced now are cars from the 80s. No ABS, no power steering, no connectivity, no automatic transmission possible, no onboard computer anymore, etc. The price for that is unaffordable. Something like that already happened in the GDR... Over 1,000 companies have left Russia, meaning the loss of about 5 million jobs. Takeovers like McD’s are the exception. Dramatic increase in the cost of living for Russians – inflation there is significantly higher than with us. Basic foodstuffs have become really expensive. Delivery of semiconductors to Russia dropped by 90% – with all the effects on the production of goods. Whether refrigerators, cars, PCs, etc. Aircraft spare parts are no longer available. The result is that parts of the aircraft fleet are already grounded as donors for spare parts. In half a year, hardly any airplane will be able to fly in Russia. Young and educated specialists are leaving the country by the hundreds of thousands. Which Russian is laughing hard? The one who no longer has a job? The one who can no longer afford his food? The one who now sometimes has to pay five times as much for a parallel import of a cellphone (iPhones), but no longer receives warranty or repairs from the manufacturer?
So I would like to know where you get these figures and claims from. The British Sun has headlined and compared how prices rise in the UK compared to Russia... to be found under the title : SANCS A LOT
Welcome to sanction-hit Russia, where prices are DOWN as Brits suffer from soaring inflation It’s nice that maybe they no longer have airplanes and luxury cars but apparently cheap food and, of course, energy.
