If it were generally about purchasing (so also existing properties and apartments), then I could imagine it as support for young families buying for the first time. But if I understand correctly, the new family subsidy is supposed to apply only to new builds with a certain standard. In my opinion, that doesn’t really fit together well, and I do wonder who can actually benefit from it. Either those who have already inherited a lot, or those like “well, we’re just barely below the limit because of parental leave, but actually the return to work/salary increase is already agreed with the boss in two months...”. Kind of odd

We are right in the middle of the "Klimakatastrophe", Germany is on the brink of collapse. You can't just build new houses. They must be EH40 and certified sustainable with paper from half a forest ;)

I think it actually only works for condominiums. And that is certainly intended...

That is indeed the case. Five of the warmest summers since the beginning of weather records have occurred in the last 10 years. And you have to go back quite a way to remember a really cold winter. It was 2010/11.... The few days of frost in December 2022 were a joke and not a "winter".

So, we have winter on the construction site. On Monday, the driveway was supposed to be dug up with the 3t mini excavator so that electricity and internet can be laid. The gravel was frozen 40cm deep and had to be broken up.

What standard are you actually building? I assume 40+ and the house as small as possible to contribute your part? ;)

The brother had frozen ground on Monday and therefore believes that everything is fine with the climate. :D
