And with extreme shortage economy and extremely high prices for everything except basic supplies.

Stop giving the monkey sugar :( That way you'll never get rid of him... More than spinning like a little flag in the wind or posting "alternative facts," he can't do...

Hello everyone, I need an assessment.. We want to have a fence built this year. It's about 62m and we have imagined a "decorative fence" (if you google that, first image hit), 80 cm high. And now I have received an offer from a fence builder that is around €8200 net. Everything that belongs to it is included, so setting posts and removing excavated soil, hanging the fence and a custom-made gate. Do you think this is an acceptable price? Unfortunately, I have no comparison offer, as two other regional fence builders have not gotten back to me..

Would be just under €140 per linear meter. Don’t find that excessively expensive. Pure steel railing (flat) here in BW about €350-400 per linear meter

Just a question about construction costs. I still need to model the terrain in the garden. Various earth mounds into a small embankment at the boundary, dig out the crane area and place it under the terrace, plus a bit more gravel where the carport will go. I have an offer here for 1 day with a 5t excavator, driver, and vibrating plate for just over €1600 gross without gravel. Is that fair?

We paid 700 EUR net per day for excavator and driver and 30/h for 1 construction helper. They then shaped the terrain (processed construction road as a substructure for the entrance and spread some earth). But it was only a mini excavator, I estimate 2t...

Insofar, your price actually seems fair to me, if no construction helper costs are added...
