Construction costs are currently skyrocketing

Is that still normal or within reason? I have zero feeling for the price level, let alone how things are going with the current raw material prices on the market.

I already thought it would blow me away, but I did not expect the amount.

Sounds ambitious. For that, we get a 5.5 x 7.5 m larch wood carport with green roof, 2.8 m interior height, and an integrated locked 8 sqm room.

What do you want to hear now? In August 2018, so three years ago, we paid just under €15k for a similar carport with wall elements all around, everything included. Your offer is now, three years later, about 35% more expensive. It’s certainly not a bargain but doesn’t seem completely absurd to me either. Steel has become significantly more expensive (although with the quantity for a carport, that should not account for more than €1,000), but prices have certainly risen to that extent over the past years. The new Porsche of the carport supplier just has to be paid for.

I had an offer BEFORE the steel rally of about €27,000 for a flat roof, carport 6x9 plus terrace 5x4m, it will surely be more today.
