From my point of view, I did not order that but rather submitted my electrical plan in advance for further discussion. It was clear to him that this exceeds the standard service. According to VOB, he must point out additional costs here and send me a new offer.
The developer always conveyed to us that the electrical installation is handled through him. That the electrician bills the additional costs directly to the customer was never mentioned and is also not described anywhere.

when you start with house planning, fix as much as possible and detail the sampling as thoroughly as possible before signing, as is repeatedly recommended here.

This is your basis with a precise description of services. Whether it is a prefabricated house or a general contractor
With us, based on this detailed 100-page offer, it was completely transparent what, for example, a possibly forgotten additional socket would cost.

In general, every deviation is then an additional or reduced service. If you do not know detailed unit prices, you are somewhat at the mercy of the companies' discretion in pricing. But it doesn't always have to be maximally negative, just ask beforehand what 3 satellite sockets would roughly cost, you can always do that. You should also do that. And usually, you then also get rough net price guidelines, i.e. plus VAT.

Well, if the original poster had obtained an offer from the developer for the upgrade and had not given the electrician the order verbally, they could have avoided the current situation.

That would have been the right way or to ask the electrician beforehand, what do I get for sum xyz. We built with individual trades and almost always deviated from the first offer during the construction phase. Without knowing what the surcharge is/costs, there was no go from me. Even if the prices were only roughly stated, I knew whether it fits the budget or not.

44 sockets are not just 4 additional sockets. In many construction specifications, that is already more than 50% above the standard!

Be glad that he is allowed to bill you directly. With a general contractor developer, there would be an additional surcharge of ~10% on top.

Again, the construction service description is your standard service. You were aware of that! That's exactly why McDonald's cups say the coffee is hot and you can scald yourself when drinking.

Thanks for that, I understand the example and will try to be careful with our construction. The example is also well chosen because I actually assumed that newly (not used) purchased windows and frames have to be clean. Otherwise, I could just have cheaper, already used windows installed. In addition, I once thought I had read that craftsmen must leave a "clean" (?) construction site (?). My father had a landscaping business and they always had to remove dirt and residues.
But now I have, I hope, understood it.
