Hello,
yes, the windows have the tone RAL 7016 on the outside.
If we had chosen the foil-covered frames, the window maker would have recommended a "pattern" in tone (by that I mean this type of wood grain often seen in foil-covered windows – I don't exactly remember the name now).
For a smooth foil covering without this pattern, he warned us that you could see every little scratch. That is why you almost never see foil-covered frames without this pattern. However, we did not like the pattern.
Unfortunately, I cannot give you an exact figure for the surcharge, as we essentially negotiated away the aluminum cladding. The original statement was between 2 and 3 thousand euros.

Right, the foil (does it even exist without grain?) is sensitive if you scratch it with sharp objects - however, I wouldn’t know when I should mistreat the window from the outside. You can only see the grain if you approach the window to arm’s length. Small scratches aren’t visible, as these normally shouldn’t occur in the first place. By the way, we also decided on RAL 7016 - it’s currently THE color, whether for windows, fences, front doors, etc.

The surcharge was a real bargain, congratulations on that! Then I would have also chosen the aluminum version.

Since we have many floor-to-ceiling windows, we definitely saw the risk that something might splash against them or you might brush past. That’s why we wanted to play it safe.

Thank you. By the way, these are Unilux IsoStar aluminum windows, in case anyone else is interested. We are very satisfied so far.

We decided on plastic-aluminum because then the surfaces can be powder coated the same way, such as the door or the gate. Wood is not at all my thing, so wood-aluminum was out of the question from the start. What a relief.

There are also plastic windows with acrylic coating. They are completely smooth and the paint layer is about one millimeter thick. They are not quite as sensitive to scratches. We have decided on them and are satisfied so far
