Is energy storage also unprofitable for electric cars? Costs of wallbox + storage

From my own experience, I can say that from 6 p.m. onward it's over (even in summer). You won't get 2-3 kWh anymore, and those are already consumed solely by the stove and so on. I have a storage system and an electric car, so there's practical experience here. The only thing that would work in your favor is free charging at the workplace. Everything else is wishful thinking. To get through the night from 7:30 p.m. in summer, I need 4 kWh. So charging the car from around 6 p.m. is out of the question.

I almost suspected that. That without storage or free charging at the employer, it’s no use. Especially with 80 km daily, doing it only on the weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, hopefully with sunshine, will be pretty tight and won't end well.

and what kind of dispute do you have there? I’m getting a photovoltaic system as an investment that will pay off after x years. Until then, I use the electricity as much as possible myself – before feeding it into the grid with those low feed-in tariffs – which is cheaper than drawing electricity from the socket. And after the photovoltaic system is paid off (on average people talk about 14-16 years), every feed-in tariff goes into your pocket until the system’s end. Self-consumption is then of course free as well. Or how do you see it?

Yes, absolutely, you are right. I personally would never invest in something that has a 15-year payback period. But everyone has to decide that for themselves.

Hhmm, not even if you see it as an investment? So you would only install about 5-7 kWp on your roof, even though you could easily do 15 kWp?

Since politics has scaled down all solar subsidies, etc., it is no longer profitable for me personally. The new housing developments show that many people see it that way. Almost no one has solar anymore, even though it is actually a wonderful technology. An investment must be more profitable for me, even if solar offers relatively low risk with a small return. Better than a savings account...

Don't worry about it, cover the roof (except the north side). I am an absolute fan of photovoltaics. So far, it has been the best investment in the whole house. I don't expect any return, but there is one. The nice thing about it is that I can noticeably reduce my ancillary costs, and you just have to say it, even if the summer is not conclusive, the whole system is fun and provides significant relief. Since May, I have been consuming +500 kWh per month, and the grid consumption was 15 kWh per month.
