Can you also, for example, record 1 program and watch 1 at the same time in one room over 1 cable? Or would I need at least 2 cables per room for that?
Standard answer:
it depends ;-)
Here we have (star wiring) UKW/FM, DAB, DVB-T, DVB-S
so 3 cables outside from the antenna to the switch,
+4 cables from the uni-LNB.
Of course, you don't have to realize everything.
There are also combo antennas for UKW/FM + DAB.
The inputs of the Sat switch generally specify what fits.
Improvised indoor antennas for radio or DVB-T are generally only a last resort
(unless you live directly under the transmitting antenna).
You can also watch 1 program and record a 2nd program on Sat if both programs
are on the same transponder (lyngsat.com).
Alternatively, record DVB-T + watch DVB-S.
