We had actually been considering whether our house should get a colored paint job. That would have cost €2,000. The additional cost for the windows was cheaper for us.
White house with white windows did not appeal to me.
For plastic windows, I would argue that the less foil needs to be applied, the cheaper it is. Consequently, white on the inside should be cheaper because the plastic is white and does not need to be foiled.
With us, the additional cost for an exterior aluminum shell in DB703 Iron Glimmer was just under €2000 for a total of 17 windows, of which 4 are floor-to-ceiling. A foil wrap would have come to just over €1000. But by individual contract directly with the manufacturer.
Wow, sometimes what is called up... at our place: 6 single windows 1 triple window 4 floor-to-ceiling double doors 1 door with sidelight So 12 elements with 19 glass surfaces. Outside foiled in RAL Anthracite for something around 600 euros (too white/white). I think you can tell where the general contractor hits.
