Or a single-family house with 2 granny flats. And then you wonder about the proud calculation of the BUs?
More like that. But as stated at the beginning, that was not fixed. The approach was always a single-family house with about 120 sqm of living space and a living basement. (Granny flat for parents-in-law). The idea in the attic came to us later, since there was space and you could arrange the already planned rooms so that they are separable.
But you’re right, somehow everyone missed the mark on the calculation. Most strongly with the living basement, but also with the housing units people always struggled. Sometimes 2 heating systems were planned and things like that.
Although I still find it hard to see any cost driver in the idea. Take the attic, for example; we planned 4 rooms, kitchen, bathroom. Now we arrange the rooms so that 2 rooms, kitchen, bathroom form one unit and 2 children’s rooms separately; we do not plan an additional children’s bathroom.
