That should always be mentioned. After all, the HRV also ensures that heat stays in the house, or rather is based on "electricity" through heat recovery.

I'm curious to see how it will be for you after a year.

I expect slightly higher costs for gas, as there is no controlled residential ventilation, so the windows are probably often open, but slightly less for electricity, as there is no controlled residential ventilation. I have 7sqm of solar panels because the cells also support the heating. Living area is almost identical, just on one level. Wall structure identical, windows also identical. Karsten

As a small addition,
In the first year (19.10.14-19.10.15) 9,900 kWh gas
In the second year (19.10.15-23.10.16) 7,730 kWh gas
In the third year (23.10.16-today) 7,282 kWh gas

We will turn off the heating again soon, only turning it back on in September.

This winter was significantly colder than last year.
On average, it was 6.4°C from 01.10.15-09.05.16, since 01.10.16-today only 5.0°C!!

That is quite a noticeable difference.
As a supplement, in the first year from 01.10.14-09.05.15 it was 6.3°C – you can see that construction moisture and ventilating 3 times a day caused 27.5% additional costs.

The heating season has now completely ended, it was 8107 kWh of gas in the last 12 months. The solar system has completely taken over for hot water preparation.

Unfortunately, gas prices and electricity prices have increased compared to the previous year.
So we have 12.5% additional costs for the next 12 months with the same consumption due to this price increase...

Hello,

Why the price increase? Gas and electricity providers are switched annually and the premiums are taken each time. This significantly reduces costs and takes no more than 30 minutes of work!

Regarding your consumption:
Honestly, I find that pretty high! Before moving into the new house, we lived in a rented house from 2011. 130 sqm living space plus heated basement, KFW 100 standard with gas heating and 5 sqm solar. No controlled residential ventilation or anything like that, just ventilating through windows.
Consumption was around 8000 kWh gas in the 5 years we lived there.
Your house, with the significantly better standard, should actually be well below that!

Best regards,

Andreas

Price increase definitely yes. Because I already switch every year to the cheapest provider.
There is a noticeable increase in the electricity price and a bit in the gas price here.

An acquaintance also built at the same time, but a Luft/Luft prefabricated house KFW55.
He pays 800€ for electricity for heating and hot water per year. That is more than twice what we currently pay (340€).

If I were to go down to the more expensive Kfw 40 insulation, the costs might have been reduced to 250€.
So (only) 90€ less per year?! ...
How is more insulation supposed to pay off?
