For the channel costs, you always have to keep in mind that these costs occur twice. Once for the channel costs in the street, and once for the connection to your house. The connection to your house is always solely your problem (civil engineers, landscaping contractors do that), while the other part in the street has of course already been done or is not your problem anyway. You can get a cost estimate from the utility providers. You state the number of meters from the property boundary to the entrance of the utility room (gas, water, electricity), specify with/without digging, and then receive a price. The Telekom connection is flat-rate and can be found by googling for 1 minute.

[*]Hausanschluss Innen bei gleichzeitigem Abschluss eines MagentaZuhause Tarifes: 399,95 €
    [*]Hausanschluss Innen ohne MagentaZuhause
    Tarif: 599,95 €

So 400 as a customer, 600 without contract conclusion (e.g., if you also have fiber optic installed and then conclude the contract there).

Telekom must be notified well in advance!

- You commission your house connection at least 20 weeks before your planned move-in date by phone or via the contact form.

Thank you Payday. I can relate to this statement. I had also already found the one from Telekom, couldn’t believe it was so "affordable".

I got a €400 discount from Telekom, so it only cost €200. It will be offset against the bills after ordering the tariff via the [Bauherrenhotline].

But this only applies if no civil engineering work is required and the cable length is, I believe, under 5m, or something like that.

And a lot of lead time is relative: For us, everything was done through the energy provider, who connected electricity and Telekom at the same time. We planned it with 3 months lead time but were still able to postpone the appointment by 2 days one week before.

What really took a long time was Unitymedia; after ordering, 6 months later we got a call from a civil engineer commissioned by them asking when he could come. By then everything was already filled in, and we had a conduit sticking out that the civil engineer then had to bury again. Costs for that (excluding civil engineering work): €900. And the delay was due to UM, not the civil engineer. He also said that since the takeover of KabelBW, they install connections when the owners have already been living there for a long time.

We have an offer from Vodafone for about €900 for the connection. If we sign a contract with them for internet and landline, we will receive a credit of about €550. Thus, this connection amounts to about €350, as we are staying with Vodafone (formerly Kabel Deutschland).

Hello
Last week, following a tip from an acquaintance, I spoke with Telekom. They confirmed to me what the acquaintance "recommended":
The house connection on the outside of the house is free!
They don't like to do it because of vandalism, but it is possible.
(Well, we live in a small peaceful place here, so we think we don't need to be afraid of that)
However, you cannot influence where the connection will be placed.
But my architect said that he can specify exactly where the connection will be placed.
Maybe this helps you too
Best regards
