I believe the door to the living room would always be open in our home. For us as a couple, the doors were always open in our old apartment. With a child and a cat, it hasn't gotten any better in the house.

Good point... Hmhm we usually keep the doors closed at the moment, but who knows. We’re also wondering how things will continue with the developer. Every DIN standard has tolerances and of course a door on the property can be a few centimeters further to the left or right – but only as long as it doesn’t collide with another door, right? It’s tight in all the houses, fitting within a few millimeters. But only in our case do the two doors really hit against each other.

We have exactly the same problem. However, we only noticed it after moving in. We have come to terms with it. If the living room door is opened at the same time as the storage room door, we make sure to pay attention accordingly. As a rule, the storage room door is closed, so that no escape route is blocked.

I would simply paint the door to the living area completely. What’s the point of it? It doesn’t really separate anything since the staircase doesn’t even branch off from the hallway. So you get noise from the living area to the bedrooms (and vice versa) anyway, which is actually the typical argument in favor of a door to the hallway.

A stroller will be super difficult anyway, the hallway is narrow and the setup with the two doors is annoying anyway. To squeeze the stroller in there you have to maneuver it carefully.

But I wouldn’t build real estate specifically to accommodate strollers either. You need a stroller (per child) for 1-1.5 years, then another buggy, and by 3, at the latest 4, it’s gone.

In my opinion, there is no DIN for that, but it simply doesn’t work. Complain to the developer; they should present practical solutions! You are paying for it, after all. Make it very clear that you do not accept that! He can also move the door frames.

Speaking pragmatically: How often will it practically happen that the doors get in each other's way? I would just smile about it and be done.
