Home door manufacturers wood / aluminum doors wanted

I hadn’t looked into the wood that closely before, especially because with pine we don’t get a dark door frame. That would then be another argument for my original request: aluminum door (as core) with wooden attachment. But whether aluminum production is really that much better for the environment ;-)

From what I have seen, many wooden front doors have a steel core. I would try looking for the manufacturer Ruku.

I'm also really not an environmentalist, but with Meranti, I draw the line. However, this stuff is offered in large quantities in Germany. It is also used in wooden windows. There are good qualities, of course, but guaranteeing this has become difficult and the origin is questionable.

Materials with different coefficients of expansion rigidly joined together is not a good choice. The manufacturer I visited did everything else that causes trouble – but avoided this combination. In my opinion, wood/aluminum can only be done well by Pax; I consider aluminum/wood problematic and don’t know anyone who dares to design it. But if you want to use wood now, that’s good: then you automatically have wood on both sides, you didn’t especially want aluminum as a visible surface anyway, and burglary security depends much more on construction, hinges, fittings, and bolts than on the material of the frame profile.
