Pro with wood: the XXL gate is significantly easier. With the concrete garage, to my knowledge, it becomes a real heavy transport if you want to have a gate.

I can confirm that. That's why I decided on two single concrete garages connected one on top of the other. Timber frame construction was not possible because I have earth backfill on the side. Only concrete can withstand that.

Best regards

Then single garages are practically placed one behind the other rotated by 90°. That means the "seam" does not run between the left and right garage, but between the front and rear halves. This is not and will not be my favorite construction.

I am currently building with wood, a combined carport/garage with a storage room and earth fill on one side. We shuttered the strip foundation 1m high and then set the wall on top there. Basically, the first meter as a reinforced concrete wall. That works, with a local carpentry, for 17k plus foundations, plus plaster, plus paving inside the garage.

If you place a prefabricated garage directly next to a house, only two things are necessary: 1. Joint planning of the construction processes so that the garage foundations are laid without causing damage to the house, and 2. A roof-wall connection strip.

If you now want to provide a roof as a separate structure between the house and the garage, it actually only gets more complicated because you have to ensure two connections. Therefore, in this case, you should particularly pay attention to integrated planning and, if necessary, not buy a prefabricated garage but have everything made as a single unit and from one source.

Oh, by the way, we have a concrete garage (but no wooden house).
