Don't you think that this refers not only to the shaft, but not to the ventilation pipe itself? In other words: The empty conduit lies next to the ventilation.

Is it, if at all, not most sensible to create a universal preparation? That is, appropriate empty conduits into which later either solar thermal or photovoltaic cables can be pulled.

For photovoltaic we also did that as a preparation, that is enough.

But we already have solar thermal with our air-water heat pump. And I would not want to pull these cables in afterwards. The cables plus sheathing are quite stiff, you can only get them through with great effort. In summer, water that is at least 80°C has to flow through there in some parts.

And regarding profitability: I don't think it's that bad. I haven't calculated when it will pay off, since it's EL and we get the material quite cheaply. But even now we can supply the heating layer of our storage on somewhat sunnier days with it.

I have already thought that photovoltaic systems are quite easy to prepare. The question is whether solar can then also be retrofitted as easily with our heating system? We have the StiebelEltron LWZ304 Trend. StiebelEltron also offers an LWZ304 SOL, which can then be retrofitted with solar or photovoltaic. I would have to ask our general contractor how they envision the solar preparation and the currently planned heating system?!

The problem is that you will need a storage tank adapted to the collector area. At the moment, this would reduce the efficiency of your air-to-water heat pump because it has to heat the storage tank. If you only install a small area, then you don’t need such a large storage tank, but that also brings you less benefit (especially in winter). Therefore, preparing in advance probably makes little sense; if anything, it’s better to just install it right away. Installing a large storage tank later is also not that easy when everything is already built and set up; ours is 2m high and 1m in diameter. In addition, you need a location that can bear the corresponding loads, so this must be considered in advance as well.

If a heat pump is used as the heat generator, I would always choose a photovoltaic system instead of a solar thermal system.
