On the subject of construction costs, this also includes heating. I would neither install a heat pump nor a gas boiler in a new building. Wood gasifier with a large buffer and solar thermal, and that’s good. Of course, you have to be into it. Personally, I would want to become as independent as possible for the coming years. And for the new building, it’s enough if the wood gasifier runs twice a week in winter. You do need a bit of space, of course.

The mix is what matters. Betting on one horse is always disadvantageous.
