Hello

Drilling a well yourself?! A few meters is no problem. With 8 meters of water, it’s not that easy. You then have to plunge at least 3 meters into the water. That means 8 meters plus 3 meters deeper to always have water reliably. It very much depends on the soil layers you have. With clay, it’s quite easy. You can only drill sideways in gravel. So you have to drill inside the pipe. You insert the pipe into the ground and take a smaller drill. You pull the drill up, the pipe must be weighted, and swoosh, when pulling it up, the pipe slides deeper. You can borrow the equipment. But it’s almost impossible to manage in one weekend.

I needed about 4 hours with a colleague who has drilled several times for 8 meters. It should be possible in one day, but it is not easy work.

Hello it very much depends on the soil condition. It can go quickly. If you have larger gravel layers, it gets difficult. Occasionally a larger stone and you work for an hour for 10cm. A large pebble and you start again at another spot. As said: in principle, yes. But.... Steven

That is of course true. No one can know what the conditions are like, I just go by our soil. It's also the only time I was involved in drilling the well.
