how was it again with the oil heating owners (and pellet stove owners)? Do they get something too? (1.70€ per liter is no bargain either and a real problem for low earners)
We are currently still at
- Gas basic and substitute supply: 13.32 cents gross per kWh (basic price 6.69 euros gross)
- Electricity basic and substitute supply: 32.21 cents gross per kWh (basic price 12.09 euros gross)
I note that I still want to learn and understand a little more about energy supply because I am surprised that the unwanted gas is cheaper than the desired electricity.
since I am surprised that the unwanted gas is cheaper than the desired electricity.
However, if you produce 3-5 kWh of heat from one kWh of electricity using a heat pump, you will notice how expensive gas is. At a factor of 3, gas is 30% more expensive; if it is a particularly efficient brine-water heat pump with a factor of 5, gas is more than twice as expensive.

I'm not an expert, but shouldn't you also consider the efficiency of the gas heating system to make a fair comparison? That would probably push the balance even more in favor of the heat pump. With the heat pump, the efficiency has already been taken into account to determine the factor, right?

My daily newspaper states, "Scholz also promised relief for people who heat with oil or wood pellets."
