Bafa funding for heat pumps will be discontinued as of 31.12.2020.

What I actually meant to say... the group of people who are actually affected is quite small. At the beginning to mid '21, heat pumps were, as far as I can remember, not yet a topic. Those who started very late, like me, end up with the KfW 261, which is explicitly not combinable with the MAP (by the way... shouldn't this affect you as well, or have you been carrying an unused loan for half a year?). We are really talking about a rather small group here, and they will not get political public support for an extension.

I signed the construction contract at the end of 2020 and applied for the BAFA funding. The loan with KfW 153 was finalized in April 2021. It was always said that the development would be completed by July 2021. However, it was extended by 5 months on our street :rolleyes:, while next door they were already busy building... Therefore, construction only started at the end of November 2021 – almost a whole year after signing.

It’s getting exciting: Now I have actually received mail from the BAFA.

Dear Mr. xxx,

Your application has already been extended to the maximum period.

No further deadline extension is provided for in the above-mentioned funding program.

Please prepare a detailed list of the reasons for this extraordinary delay, possibly also with evidence from the specialist contractors or EE experts.

After a detailed justification, I will decide on the further processing of the application.

According to plan, it would have gone like this.

[*]Contract signature 11/2020
[*]BAFA application 12/16/2020
[*]Development completed as announced 07/01/2021
[*]Shortly thereafter construction start, let’s say 08/01/2021
[*]Construction time according to contract 8 months – handover turnkey then end of March 2022

At the latest by the end of March, the heat pump would have been put into proper operation if everything had gone according to plan.
What did not work:

[*]Development was not finished on 07/01/2021, but around 11/01/2021 – 4 months later
[*]Construction started at the end of November 2021
[*]Accordingly, according to the contract the house would be turnkey at the end of July 2022
[*]The fact is the house is still not finished. Tiles are just being installed. Furthermore, the entire sanitary equipment as well as interior doors are still missing. The essential point here is actually only the heat pump. There is still no sign of it.

To substantiate this, I would now ask the municipal utilities to confirm the delay of the development and ideally briefly justify it.
Then, and this is the difficult part, I want a confirmation of the delay from the general contractor. I do not yet know exactly how to proceed with this. The general contractor will surely not want to write that he could not meet the construction period and that it will certainly take much longer until the heat pump is there.

Do you have any other ideas?

Get an explanation directly from the manufacturer? Or look for press releases?

Yay, about four weeks ago I uploaded the proof of use etc., today received notification about the payment within the next two weeks. After the bad news about the electricity price increase, something good for a change.
